    A Day in the Life

    You arrive to a clean, well-organized cell, review the work order, and study the blueprint and engineering drawing before you ever touch a control. You choose the right tools and inserts, set offsets, and bring a Mazak, Eurotech, Miyano, or Nakamura multi-axis lathe to life. Throughout the run, you watch spindle loads, make micrometer-level adjustments, and verify features with calipers and gauges. You keep quality, safety, and throughput in balance—always meeting company policies and manufacturing standards.

    What You Will Do

    • Set up and run CNC lathes to produce precision components to specification.
    • Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to plan machining operations.
    • Select, install, and qualify cutting tools, attachments, and workholding.
    • Continuously monitor cycle performance and product quality, adjusting parameters to maintain spec.
    • Inspect parts using precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
    • Perform routine preventive maintenance to keep machines in top condition.
    • Uphold manufacturing principles, safety practices, and company policies at all times.

    What You Bring

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Hands-on experience operating CNC lathes (multi-axis experience valued).
    • Proficiency with hand tools and precision measuring equipment.
    • Working knowledge of G and M codes and editing at the control as needed.
    • Expertise in reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings.
    • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and efficiency.
    • Familiarity with safe material handling for loading and unloading parts.
    • Understanding of GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing).
    • Troubleshooting aptitude and problem-solving skills for machine and process issues.
    • Proficiency in aerospace manufacturing.

    The CNC Operator role focuses on meeting all manufacturing, safety, and policy requirements.
