A day in the life
- Kickoff: Review job orders, load programs, and set up tooling and workholding for the next run.
- Precision in motion: Operate CNC equipment to complete high-accuracy machining operations on a variety of parts.
- Measure twice, cut once: Verify dimensions using bore gauges, calipers, and other inspection tools to confirm every spec.
- Keep it on target: Monitor cycle performance, catch defects early, and dial in offsets or feeds/speeds to protect quality.
- Uptime matters: Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting to keep machines performing at their best.
- Team rhythm: Coordinate with supervisors and teammates to hit production milestones safely and efficiently.
What you bring
- Hands-on background as a CNC Machinist or closely related machining role (experience strongly preferred).
- Comfort operating CNC machines, setting tools/fixtures, and using shop equipment.
- Sound math for calculations, offsets, and measurement conversions.
- Keen attention to detail and practical problem-solving under production timelines.
- Clear communication and a collaborative approach on the shop floor.
