A day in the life at Trace-A-Matic
When your 2nd shift begins at 3:00 pm in Brookfield, WI, you review setup sheets, verify tooling, and dial in offsets so every component hits spec. You move confidently between machines within a production cell, monitor cycle times, and perform in-process checks with precision hand metrology. You read prints, apply GD&T, make measured G/M-code adjustments, and keep clear documentation. Along the way, you coach fellow operators on repeatable routines and help stage the next setup with guidance from senior machinists.
