Precision CNC Lathe Programmer‑Operator

Your impact

• Produce high‑tolerance components on turning and milling centers using routers, work orders, and engineered prints.
• Own setups: study drawings and samples, load programs, install tools, verify offsets, and run first articles.
• Execute in‑process inspections, operational checks, and final verifications using precision metrology.
• Maintain complete documentation: sign‑offs, forms, logs, reports, and digital records.
• Support continuous improvement through troubleshooting, program tweaks, and tooling optimization.
• Contribute beyond the spindle: operator training, workflow coordination, production scheduling support, inventory and material management, and team leadership as experience grows.

Must‑have qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Comfort with calipers, micrometers, indicators, edge finders, and blueprint reading.
• Experience with CNC controls and cutting tools; capable of deburring and handling parts to customer requirements.
• Independent, organized, detail‑driven, and committed to safety and quality.
• Professional communication across departments; accountable for decisions and outcomes.

Technical toolkit

• GD&T proficiency and print interpretation.
• Equipment troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis.
• CNC tooling selection and optimization for cycle time and surface finish.
• CNC programming (G‑code, M‑code) and on‑machine edits.
• CNC machine installation; machine geometry and alignment best practices.
• Setup and changeover for repeat and new production runs.
• Precision measurement and hand metrology; strong lathe fundamentals.

Equipment you will run

• CNC Mill (3–4 axis VMC): Haas, Okuma, Doosan.
• CNC Mill (5+ axis VMC): Haas.
• CNC Lathe (5+ axis): Okuma.
