Precast/Prestressed Materials Testing Specialist — Corsicana, TX

Express Employment Professionals is partnering with a local manufacturer to add a Quality Control Technician to their team.

Role snapshot

• Execute aggregate evaluations: gradations, moisture, specific gravity, and density.
• Perform fresh and hardened concrete testing: plastic properties, ACI/ASTM-compliant methods, and strength testing.
• Review and verify structural/architectural concrete mix designs.
• Complete thorough pre-pour and post-pour inspections on precast/prestressed panels.
• Inspect and confirm configuration of pre-tensioning and post-tensioning cables.
• Track in-process quality, escalate nonconformances, and support corrective actions.
• Maintain precise records, logs, and documentation for all tests and inspections.
• Communicate findings to production personnel and collaborate on solutions.

When you’ll work

Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Qualifications

• Industry experience in concrete, aggregate, precast, prestressed, or ready-mix settings.
• Proficiency with aggregate testing methods (gradations, moisture, density, etc.).
• Competence in field and lab concrete testing (plastic tests, ACI/ASTM protocols, strength testing).
• Working knowledge of mix designs with the ability to interpret and validate them.
• Ability to conduct both pre-pour and post-pour inspections.
• Understanding of post-tensioning and pre-tensioning cable verification.
• Ability to document and communicate nonconformances effectively.
• Strong communication plus basic computer/data entry skills.
• Comfort in indoor/outdoor environments alongside active production.
