Precast CAD Detailer

About the role

Picture your day starting with AutoCAD open and a fresh set of erection details on your screen. You translate those details into precise shop cards (shop tickets) that guide fabrication, double‑checking every line so the field and plant get exactly what they need. Throughout the day you sync with the Project Lead to confirm priorities, incorporate red‑line markups, and advance erection drawings for basic structures under the guidance of the Engineer Lead. Your work keeps design and fabrication moving smoothly.

What you’ll handle day to day

• Interpret erection drawings and details, then plot them accurately for production use.
• Coordinate with the Project Lead to set shop card detailing priorities and review erection information together.
• Generate shop cards using CAD/modeling tools (e.g., AutoCAD) and verify they align with standard detailing practices.
• Deliver scrubbed shop cards to the Project Lead for final verification and sign‑off.
• Apply red‑line edits from the Project Lead’s check prints, ensuring every revision is captured.
• Detail Steel Cards based on sketches or markups from Project Designers or Design Engineers.

Your background

• Education: Associate’s degree (2‑year) in Design Drafting or a related field preferred.
• Experience: Less than one year of related experience required; an equivalent blend of education and relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
