Pre-Service Liaison Wake Radiology is seeking a detail-oriented Pre-Service Liaison to support front-end revenue cycle operations. This position ensures referrals, scheduling, insurance eligibility, physician orders, and prior authorizations are accurate and complete before services are rendered. NOTE: This is NOT a remote position. Key Responsibilities - Review and correct incomplete or closed referrals to ensure readiness for scheduling.
- Verify and update insurance information and eligibility prior to scheduled services.
- Obtain, update, and maintain prior authorizations, including payer follow-up.
- Request missing, incomplete, or incorrect physician orders before scheduled appointments.
- Reschedule patients as needed due to authorization, eligibility, or documentation issues.
- Communicate with patients, provider offices, insurance companies, and internal teams to resolve barriers to care.
- Document activities accurately in patient accounts and referral systems, including automated outbound scheduling calls.
- Identify recurring issues and escalate concerns to leadership.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, payer requirements, and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in healthcare patient access, referrals, or revenue cycle.
- Experience with insurance verification, eligibility, prior authorizations, and referral management.
- Working knowledge of commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid insurance plans.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and patient access systems.
