    Description

Hiring: AI & Analytics Pre-Sales Head (Manufacturing & AgTech)

    Location: US (East Coast)

    Experience: 10+ years

Mandatory: Recent experience with a manufacturing client

We're hiring a senior pre-sales leader for a global digital engineering firm's AI & Analytics practice. It's a mature, market-leading practice that accounts for roughly half of the business and runs AI in production for clients every day.

    The role
You'll own the technical win across Manufacturing and AgTech accounts in the eastern US. That covers discovery, solution shaping, proposals, and win strategy. You'll partner with industry sales teams, who own quota, and work with engineering to turn proven assets into client solutions. It's a high-visibility, client-facing role that blends business insight, communication, and hands-on technical credibility. Expect around 30% travel to client sites and industry events.

    What you'll do

    • Lead the technical pre-sales motion for AI & Analytics: discovery, requirements analysis, solution shaping, and win strategy
    • Personally build demos, prototypes, and proofs-of-concept using generative and agentic AI to show clients the "art of the possible" early in the sales cycle, rather than waiting on delivery teams
    • Advise client executives on AI adoption, data-platform modernization, capability roadmaps, and process automation
    • Shape the practice's vertical offerings by defining IP, custom service offerings, target markets, and lead-generation approach, and help sales teams identify the best targets in their territories
    • Drive proposals, RFP/RFI responses, value narratives, ROI models, and client-facing collateral, and pitch at sales meetings, executive briefings, and conferences
    • Facilitate AI strategy workshops, ideation sessions, and deep-dive assessments that turn operational pain points into feasible, high-value AI use cases
    • Partner with solution architects, data scientists, and engineering/DataOps/MLOps teams on demos, PoCs, pilots, and accelerators, and extend reusable IP that scales across clients
    • Contribute to practice sales targets and produce thought leadership and verticalized offerings that strengthen the practice's market position

    What we're looking for

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent conceptual knowledge through self-study and prior experience. An advanced degree is preferred.
    • 10+ years of experience overall, including substantial time in pre-sales, solution consulting, practice leadership, or business development for data & analytics solutions
    • A demonstrated pre-sales track record: leading workshops, crafting proposals, shaping solutions, and supporting complex deals through to close
    • Hands-on ability to quickly build working demos and prototypes with generative and agentic AI tooling. You show the art of the possible yourself rather than only directing others.
    • Experience designing and positioning data & analytics platforms at significant scale
    • Working knowledge of modern AI techniques (predictive modeling, generative AI, document intelligence, agentic automation), enough to know what's possible and practical and to guide clients toward business impact
    • Understanding of cloud and distributed-systems principles, with experience across AWS, Azure, and GCP, including container and orchestration technologies
    • Familiarity with Manufacturing and/or AgTech (strongly preferred)
    • Excellent written and verbal communication, executive-facing presentation, and interpersonal skills, with comfort in ambiguity and bringing structure to open-ended problems
    • Willingness to travel approximately 30%
