    About the Role

As a Pre-Sales Engineer, you will act as the technical bridge between Camlin’s high voltage product portfolio and our customers across North America. You’ll partner closely with Sales Executives, the SVP of Sales, and global product and engineering teams to position Camlin’s solutions, articulate value, and support the successful closure of opportunities.

This role is critical in translating complex technical capabilities—particularly in high voltage monitoring and grid technologies—into compelling, customer-focused solutions.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Serve as the technical lead for pre-sales activities across Camlin’s high voltage hardware and software solutions
    • Partner with Sales Executives to develop account strategies and support deal execution
    • Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concept engagements
    • Lead or support customer workshops, requirements gathering sessions, and scope reviews
    • Translate customer challenges into tailored technical solutions and system designs
    • Develop and support technical proposals, architecture designs, and documentation
    • Own and contribute to RFI, RFP, and RFQ responses, including technical conformance and questionnaires
    • Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to feedback market needs and customer insights
    • Act as a trusted technical advisor and subject matter expert (SME) to customers and internal stakeholders
    • Engage with existing accounts to identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities
    • Represent Camlin at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings
    • Work collaboratively across global teams to ensure high-quality technical support throughout the sales lifecycle
    • Support continuous improvement of sales tools, demos, and technical collateral

    What You’ll Need to Succeed

    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Electronics, or related field
    • Strong knowledge of high voltage systems, power transmission/distribution, or grid monitoring technologies
    • Experience in technical pre-sales, solutions engineering, or applications engineering
    • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into customer-focused messaging
    • Proven track record of supporting sales teams in closing technical solutions
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
    • Experience managing multiple opportunities and customer engagements simultaneously
    • Willingness to travel for customer meetings, site visits, and industry events

    Desirable Experience

    • Experience in utilities, energy, or power infrastructure sectors (e.g., utilities, ISOs, EPCs)
    • Familiarity with high voltage asset monitoring, grid automation, or grid-edge technologies
    • Knowledge of SCADA systems, IoT platforms, or condition monitoring solutions
    • Experience with hardware/software system integration in industrial environments
    • Understanding of North American grid standards and utility practices

    • We work together
    • We believe in people
