    Position Summary:

    We're seeking a dedicated and nurturing Pre-K 4 Teacher Assistant to join our team. Our ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working with young children and understands the importance of early childhood development in building a strong foundation for future learning. This individual will support the lead teacher in creating a safe, structured, and engaging classroom environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth.

    In this role, you will assist with implementing developmentally appropriate lessons in early literacy, math, and social-emotional learning. You will help facilitate small group activities, reinforce classroom routines, and provide individualized support to ensure all students are engaged and progressing. A basic understanding of early childhood standards and best practices is important to support effective instruction and student development.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Support the lead teacher in delivering developmentally appropriate instruction in early literacy, math, and social-emotional learning.

    • Assist with small group instruction and provide targeted support to individual students as needed.

    • Help maintain a safe, structured, and positive classroom environment.

    • Reinforce classroom routines, procedures, and behavioral expectations.

    • Prepare instructional materials and assist with classroom organization.

    • Supervise students during transitions, meals, recess, and other non-instructional times.

    • Support students in developing independence, communication, and social skills.

    • Assist with implementing accommodations or modifications for students as directed by the teacher.

    • Communicate effectively with the lead teacher regarding student progress and needs.

    • Participate in campus events, professional development, and school-wide initiatives.

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or coursework in early childhood education or a related field preferred.

    • Experience working with young children in a classroom, childcare, or early learning setting.

    • Basic understanding of early childhood development and age-appropriate instructional practices.

    • Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.

    • A genuine passion for supporting young learners and contributing to a positive classroom environment.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Texas Educational Aide certification (preferred but not required).

    • Experience supporting instruction in a Pre-K or early elementary classroom, with a focus on early literacy and social-emotional development.
