They start with thoughtful questions, sound technical decisions, accurate pricing, and a clear understanding of what the client is trying to accomplish. MTech Mechanical is seeking a Pre-Construction Engineer to support the development of complex commercial mechanical projects from early concept through design, estimating, proposal, and turnover to construction operations. Working alongside experienced Pre-Construction Managers, engineers, estimators, project managers, and field leaders, you will help evaluate mechanical systems, develop conceptual designs, identify project scope, prepare budgets and estimates, and create solutions that balance performance, constructability, cost, and client objectives. This role is designed for an engineer with foundational mechanical systems experience who is ready to expand beyond traditional design. You will develop technical, estimating, commercial, presentation, and relationship-building skills while gaining exposure to the full pursuit lifecycle. Qualifications:
Experience with Bluebeam, Revit, AutoCAD, load-calculation software, estimating platforms, Procore, or other construction technology is valued but not required unless otherwise specified.
