Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Backend/API Developer with a strong focus on .Net Core to join our team as a contractor. The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of experience in backend development, with a proven track record of designing and implementing robust APIs and backend systems. This role requires a deep understanding of .Net Core and its ecosystem, as well as the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high performance backend systems and APIs using .Net Core.
Collaborate with front end developers and other stakeholders to integrate user facing elements with server side logic.
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to best practices and coding standards.
Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Debug and troubleshoot issues in existing applications and APIs.
Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies related to backend development and .Net Core.
Document technical specifications and maintain comprehensive documentation for developed systems.
Mandatory Skills:
Strong expertise in .Net Core framework and its libraries.
Proficient in designing and developing RESTful APIs.
Extensive experience with database technologies such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or similar.
Solid understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and DevOps practices.
Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
Strong problem solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
Experience with containerization technologies like Docker.
Knowledge of front end technologies such as Angular, React, or Vue.js.
Understanding of microservices architecture.
Experience with automated testing frameworks.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
15+ years of professional experience in backend development.
Proven experience in developing applications using .Net Core.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment.
