The Practice Manager oversees the daily operations, business functions, and patient care activities of the OBGYN practice within the UCLA Health Community Clinics. Operating with a high degree of independence, this role is guided by broad organizational goals and objectives. Progress toward these goals is reviewed through ongoing collaboration with the Clinical Director and the Sr. Executive Director.
The Practice Manager provides comprehensive administrative and operational leadership, ensuring efficient clinic workflows, high-quality patient care, and a positive work environment. This includes supervising both front and back office medical staff, coordinating clinical services, and managing the physical space to support safe, effective, and patient-centered operations. While guidelines and references are available, the role requires strong judgment, interpretation, and original problem-solving to address operational challenges and support continuous improvement.
