    Practice Coordinator (Legal Secretary)
    • Location: Downtown Houston, TX
    • Parking: NOT covered 
    • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM or 9:00 AM-5:30 PM with 1-hour lunch (37.5-hour work week)
    • Duration: 6-Month Contract with potential for permanent hire
    • Work Environment: 100% onsite initially with possible hybrid flexibility in the future

    Candidates MUST have experience within corporate law. 


    Position Overview


    We are seeking an experienced Practice Coordinator (Legal Secretary) to provide high-level administrative and legal support to attorneys within a corporate law practice. The ideal candidate will have prior experience supporting attorneys in either a law firm or in-house legal department and possess exceptional organizational, communication, and document management skills.

     

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide administrative support to attorneys and legal professionals.
    • Prepare, revise, proofread, and format legal and corporate documents.
    • Manage attorney calendars, meetings, travel arrangements, and expenses.
    • Coordinate client communications and maintain confidential information.
    • Assist with document management, filing, and matter organization.
    • Track deadlines and support attorneys with time entry and billing activities.
    • Coordinate meetings, conference calls, and client events as needed.
    • Maintain accurate legal files and records in accordance with firm procedures.

     

    Qualifications
    • 2+ years of legal secretary, legal assistant, or practice coordinator experience.
    • Must have experience in corporate law, either within a law firm or an in-house legal department.
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Excellent proofreading, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, professional environment.
    • Strong attention to detail and discretion with confidential matters.
