Powersport Inspector - CR Writer L1

Dealers throughout the world utilize NPA for acquisition of wholesale vehicles and to ensure their pre-owned inventory meets their customer's demands.

Job specific responsibilities:

· Thoroughly inspect all functional and cosmetic parts of each motorcycle, SXS, ATV, PWC, and Trailers

- Enter the overall condition of each unit with accuracy using company provided tools

· Check the mechanical condition of each vehicle and report as necessary into AMS, (That’s mechanical not the performance of)

· Verify vehicle Identification number (VIN) including year, make, mileage and model against label and within AMS

· Communicate and identify discrepancies and fix as necessary

· Check all fluids and add as necessary to manufacturers specifications

· Make comments as necessary during the condition reporting process

· Tag all parts and accessories included but not attached to vehicle and include a photo in the inspection

· Responsible for auction placement of vehicles as required and planned by GM

· Keep CR booth clean at all times

· Always return company equipment before end of shift

· Help Dealers and other Employees as needed

· Always review past CR’S and QC as needed

· Complete 12-15 accurate CR’s per day

- If processing 12-15 is unavailable, manage your time to assist prep in order to help you achieve, as close to, your goal as possible for the day

- Excessive buybacks and/or consistent blatant misses will result in disciplinary action up to termination

• Participating in monthly CR Lead meetings

• Running daily production and inventory reports

• Total units missing Pre-Inspections
• Total units requiring Post-Inspections
• Total units missing inspection on the Prep List (If auction week)
• Total units with pending Review

• Updating Pre-Inspections

• Transfer Inspections

• Review Inspections

o Review prior inspections on every unit, this includes reviewing CR Discrepancies for mileage Discrepancy. We are looking for items previously rated;

Bent

Cracked

Damaged

Missing (Especially engines, any unit previously missing an engine needs to be

flagged with the GM and placed into exception)

o Compare CR score to overall condition of unit (i.e. If the unit scored an 89 give the unit a

quick once over to verify that it is accurate, check underside of frame, exhaust, footrests,

etc. Inspect for any signs that the unit has been dropped)

o Verify any Dents, Fluid Leaks, Aftermarket Fairings, Frame damage etc. is rated accordingly

2. Inspect Harley Davidson frames

o Spot check front down tubes

3. Review wrecked units

o Thoroughly inspect every wrecked unit

• Discuss any issues that came up from the prior week including CR Discrepancies from Facility to

facility.

Basic Employee responsibilities:

· Arrive to work on time per your required work schedule

· Always be courteous and respectful to fellow employees and customers

· Company equipment and computers must be used for company purposes only

· Company vehicles must be operated safely and within their intended purpose

· Dress appropriately to your particular job duties and within the parameters of our current employee manual, (No open toed shoes in warehouse)

· Always pick up after yourself

· Keep your work area neat and clean

· Always ask questions if you are unsure

· Always check in and out with your direct supervisors at the beginning and end of your daily shift

- No phone in the booth

At the end of each week, Please email A report to AGM and GM with the below info:

• Total number of inspections completed by CR Writer

• Total number of inspections completed for the day

• Total number of units missing Pre-inspections

• If production was low, provide reasonings for CR writer

• Review every unit that has been set up for IFT

o Validate any major damage is disclosed

o Review any major discrepancies with the AGM and GM

o Re-inspect any unit with an overall CR score drop greater than 2 points
