Immediate need for a talented Power Test engineer. This is a 06 - 12+months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Milpitas CA (Onsite). Key Responsibilities: Hands-on lab work using power analyzers such as oscilloscope, function generators, electronic-loads, AC/DC power source, etc. Execute board-mount/front-end power test cases Identify and document bugs/issues with design through validation and report to team members/design team. Document test data into test reports Key Requirements and Technology Experience: Knowledge on power electronics (e.g AC/DC- DC/DC conversion, power conversion topologies) Understanding of Board-mount/Front-end Power Proficiency with various power analyzers (e.g oscilloscope, AC/DC power source, function generators, electronic-loads, etc.) Experience with soldering components on pcb. Proficiency in reading schematics Comfortable in a Unix/Linux environment Experience in failure analysis and troubleshooting skills in a lab environment Experience in test planning, validation, finding failures and driving issues to resolution with cross functional teams Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to document test results/data into a concise test report in a complete manner Scripting knowledge Our client is a leading IT Industry, and we are currently interviewing to fill this and other similar contract positions.
