JOB PURPOSE Every system e2Companies energizes starts as a design that has to perform on a live customer site and clear the interconnection requirements between drawing set and energized system. As a Power System Engineer within our Power Systems department, you will support the design, interconnection, and implementation of our proprietary generation system, contributing to single-line diagrams, construction documents, and commissioning under the direction of senior engineering. Reporting to the VP of Power Systems, you will support the department's project load while cross collaborating with R&D to test, refine, and prove out distributed generation, battery storage, and microgrid solutions before they reach the field. It is a role for an engineer who wants to build real depth on high-stakes systems while working alongside the people who set the technical bar. RESPONSIBILITIES - Adaptability to prioritize and manage daily tasks in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
- Oversee utility interconnection applications from submission to project completion.
- Design integrated solutions using battery storage and microgrid systems, including controls and electrical infrastructure.
- Collaborate with the R&D team to test, document, and demonstrate solutions for clients, including hands-on equipment assembly and disassembly.
- Coordinate construction requisitions, approvals, site visits, and final designs with internal and external engineering teams.
- Research advanced electrical switchgear, automation, generator paralleling, and transfer solutions.
- Help define project scope and deliverables aligned with company goals.
- Plan and test prototypes to ensure they meet project objectives.
- Develop and document detailed commissioning test plans and reports.

- Review shop drawings and designs for switchgear, transformers, reclosers, and other electrical equipment.
- Quickly learn new software and technologies.
- Follow instructions, work well in a team, and maintain attention to detail.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

WHO YOU ARE - You do the work carefully and follow through, and senior engineers trust what you hand back.
- You want to learn the hard parts of power systems from people who have done it, not just read about it.
- You move easily between a drawing set, a shop floor, and a customer site without losing the thread.
