Power/HVAC Technician

We are seeking a Power/HVAC Technician in Wixom, MI to service and repair diesel engines, generators, and related equipment. Ideal candidates have strong diesel troubleshooting skills, familiarity with power generation, load bank testing, and electrical systems, and the ability to work independently in the field. Technicians report to the Wixom shop daily before traveling to customer sites in a company vehicle.

Position Offers

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel engines, generators, and related rental equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and diesel systems.
• Perform load bank testing and work around single-phase and three-phase electrical power systems.
• Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment documentation to troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Report to the Wixom shop daily and travel to customer sites to perform field service and repairs.

Requirements

• 2 or more years of diesel engine repair and maintenance experience, with the ability to independently troubleshoot and diagnose diesel engine issues.
• Familiarity with power generation equipment and generators; direct generator experience is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with load bank testing and single-phase/three-phase electrical power
• Experience with Cummins INSITE and diesel diagnostic software/laptops is a strong plus
