Power BI Developer - Tallahassee, FL
Contract Duration: 10 months, Onsite
Seeking for a Power BI Developer to lead efforts in updating and optimizing our reporting and data management processes.
- Analyzing and transforming data environments for dashboard development.
- Collaborating with management to develop a reporting roadmap.
- Improving existing reports based on current business needs.
- Automating data transformation processes.
- Converting WebFOCUS and Mainframe FOCUS queries to T-SQL queries.
- Creating database views and stored procedures for Power BI reports.
- Developing dataflows in Power BI and administering the Power BI workspace.
- Training staff on using Power BI reports.
Job Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
- Experience building dashboards and reports with Microsoft Power BI.
- Strong SQL skills and data governance best practices.
- Understanding of data management concepts like Data Warehousing and Data Lakes.
- Experience with financial data reporting and advanced data structures.
- Knowledge of Power BI integration with Microsoft tools.
- Experience with IBM DB2 databases and Mainframe flat files.
- Knowledge of the SCRUM Framework.
Preferred KSAs:
- Experience with Oracle Datawarehouse.
- Knowledge of mainframe programming languages.
- Experience with financial systems like ERP.
- Experience with WebFOCUS.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in technology or finance-related fields. Relevant work experience may substitute for the degree.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years in Business Intelligence and at least 2 years developing dashboards and reports in Microsoft Power BI.
- Experience with IBM DB2 databases.
