Power BI Developer - Denver, CO
Duration: 9 Months (Remote)
Seeking for an Power BI Developer to design, develop, and optimize enterprise reporting and business intelligence solutions. The role will work closely with business stakeholders and data teams to gather requirements, develop reusable data models, and deliver interactive Power BI reports and dashboards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather and translate business requirements into Power BI reporting solutions.
- Design and maintain reusable semantic data models and table relationships.
- Develop DAX measures, calculated columns, and custom calculations.
- Create interactive dashboards and reports with slicers, drill-through, and advanced visualizations.
- Connect Power BI to APIs, SQL databases, BigQuery, ArcGIS, Excel, and other data sources.
- Implement row-level and column-level security.
- Optimize DAX, data models, and report performance using Power BI tools, DAX Studio, and Tabular Editor.
- Publish and manage reports in Power BI Service, including access controls and scheduled refreshes.
- Follow source/version-control practices and utilize Azure DevOps as appropriate.
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- Strong hands-on experience with Power BI, DAX, data modeling, and Power BI Service.
- Experience developing reusable semantic models and implementing data security.
- Experience integrating multiple data sources and transforming data for reporting.
- Strong knowledge of dashboard design and Power BI performance optimization.
- Experience with Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
- Familiarity with DAX Studio, Tabular Editor, BigQuery, ArcGIS, APIs, and Azure DevOps is preferred.
- Familiarity with AI tools for improving data analysis and development workflows is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
