    Your Mission

    PostcardMania is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Power BI Developer to build, maintain, and improve business intelligence reporting solutions across the organization.

    This is a hands-on individual contributor role focused on developing Power BI dashboards, reports, semantic models, and supporting data solutions. You will report to the Tech Lead and work closely with business teams to translate reporting needs into accurate, easy-to-use, and high-performing analytics solutions.

    This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, solving reporting challenges, and turning business requirements into clear and actionable Power BI experiences.

    Your Responsibilities

    • Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for departments across the organization
    • Develop and maintain Power BI semantic models, relationships, calculated columns, and measures using DAX
    • Write and optimize SQL queries and use SQL Server views and data warehouse tables to support reporting
    • Use Power Query and other data transformation tools to prepare, clean, and shape data for reporting
    • Build intuitive, visually consistent, responsive reports that are easy for business users to understand
    • Troubleshoot report performance, data accuracy, refresh failures, gateway issues, and other Power BI problems
    • Work with the Tech Lead and business stakeholders to gather requirements and build reporting solutions
    • Validate data and reconcile Power BI results against source systems to ensure reporting accuracy
    • Maintain existing reports and enhance them as business requirements change
    • Document report logic, measures, data sources, and key technical details for long-term maintainability

    Schedule

    This is a full-time position either in office or remote. Monday-Friday from 8am to 5pm.



    Requirements

    • 3+ years of hands-on experience developing business intelligence solutions, with a strong focus on Power BI
    • Strong Power BI experience including report development, semantic models, DAX, Power Query, drillthrough, bookmarks, slicers, conditional formatting, and interactions
    • Strong SQL skills, including writing joins, aggregations, CTEs, views, and queries against relational databases
    • Good understanding of dimensional modeling, including fact tables, dimensions, relationships, and star schemas
    • Experience connecting Power BI to SQL Server
    • Ability to troubleshoot data discrepancies and performance issues in reports, models, and queries
    • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accurate, consistent reporting
    • Ability to understand business requirements and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical users
    • Self-starter who can manage assigned work independently while collaborating with the Tech Lead and team members
