Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Power BI / Data Developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level data solutions and business intelligence dashboards. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Power BI, SQL, data modeling, ETL, and data visualization, along with the ability to translate business requirements into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
- Build scalable data models using Power BI and SQL.
- Develop complex DAX measures, calculated columns, and KPIs.
- Create and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and data transformations.
- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for data integration and reporting.
- Perform data analysis, cleansing, validation, and quality checks.
- Integrate data from multiple sources into enterprise reporting solutions.
- Optimize Power BI reports, datasets, and queries for performance.
- Implement appropriate security, including Row-Level Security (RLS).
- Collaborate with business users, data engineers, analysts, and technical teams to understand reporting requirements.
- Participate in troubleshooting, production support, and performance tuning.
- Follow data governance, development standards, and best practices.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI.
- Advanced knowledge of DAX and Power Query (M).
- Strong SQL development and query optimization skills.
- Experience with data modeling, star schema, and dimensional modeling.
- Experience developing dashboards and reports for enterprise business users.
- Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT and data integration.
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts.
- Experience with Power BI Service, workspaces, datasets, gateways, and deployment pipelines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Azure Data Services, Azure SQL, Data Factory, or Synapse.
- Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms and modern data architecture.
- Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, or other cloud data platforms.
- Familiarity with Power BI administration and governance.
- Experience integrating APIs and external data sources.
