Power BI and Sigma reporting Lead

The role will drive discussions with business stakeholders, functional leads, BI architects, and technical teams to translate business needs into effective reporting and analytics solutions. In addition, the role will provide input to data modelers on required modeling updates and help ensure the data model supports reporting, access, and security needs.

Responsible for leading Power BI and Sigma development efforts, with strong knowledge of the P&C data model and security management processes. The role will drive discussions with business stakeholders, functional leads, BI architects, and technical teams to translate business needs into effective reporting and analytics solutions. The lead will own solution design conversations, ensure requirements are clearly understood, and recommend practical approaches that meet business objectives. In addition, the role will provide input to data modelers on required modeling updates and help ensure the data model supports reporting, access, and security needs.

The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise, business acumen, and leadership skills to guide delivery and align solutions to enterprise reporting standards.

1. 10+ years leading BI teams primarily in Insurance Finance domain - Delivering key Insurance metrics that includes Premiums, Losses, Commissions, P&L, B&S reporting
2. Insurance domain knowledge will be a plus.
3. Partnered with Actuarial, Underwriting, and Finance leadership to define metrics and align BI roadmap with business strategy
4. Built dashboards in Power BI / Tableau tracking written premium, earned premium, loss ratios, and combined ratios
5. Expert in Power BI (DAX, row-level security, Direct Query, dataflows) and Tableau (LOD expressions, parameter actions, server administration)
6. Designed and managed Cloud warehouses such as Snowflake data warehouses
7. Enabled self-service analytics through Sigma Computing / ThoughtSpot / Looker, reducing ad hoc report requests
8. Led team of analysts delivering monthly close reports, regulatory filings, and executive KPI reporting
9. Reduced reporting cycle from 10 days to 2 days through automation, real-time pipelines, and governed semantic models
