Powder Coating & Fabrication Production Supervisor

Location: Waukesha, WI

Reports to: Plant Manager

Schedule: 4 – 10-hour days; may vary with production and demand

A day in this role

When the second-shift crews assemble at the powder coat paint line and weld cells, you set the tone. You’ve aligned priorities, balanced staffing across fabrication, and translated blueprints and job orders into clear assignments. As orders move from welding through finishing, you’re monitoring quality, adjusting work procedures to hit schedule, and removing roadblocks so every part ships right and on time.

You’re on the floor—coaching, answering technical questions, and ensuring safety and HR policies are followed. By the end of the shift, you’ve optimized throughput, documented results, and recognized wins that build a highly engaged team culture.

What you’ll oversee

• Prioritize, schedule, and delegate work across the powder coat line, welding, and fabrication teams.
• Establish or refine procedures to meet production timelines and customer delivery requirements.
• Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders; communicate clear duties to associates.
• Serve as the technical go-to for questions and problem-solving on the floor.
• Document activities and ensure compliance with safety protocols, HR policies, and reporting standards.
• Coach and develop employees, manage performance, and foster high engagement.

What you bring

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or related field; or equivalent relevant experience.
• 2+ years supervising or leading manufacturing teams, with involvement in hiring and termination decisions.
• Proven leadership and interpersonal skills to guide a team of about 20 employee-owners.
• Strong organization and time management capabilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience with Epicor or another ERP (e.g., SAP).
