In this hands-on role, you'll help prepare and stock fresh poultry products, keep our stand looking its best, and provide the friendly service our customers have come to expect.No poultry or meat experience? We're happy to train someone who is dependable, enjoys working with people, and takes pride in doing a job well.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare, package, label, and stock poultry products according to department standardsKeep display cases full, organized, fresh, and visually appealing throughout the dayMonitor product quality and freshness and follow proper product rotation practicesProvide friendly and helpful customer service, including assisting customers with product questions and selectionsMaintain clean and organized counters, equipment, prep areas, and workspacesFollow all food safety, sanitation, HACCP, and company proceduresAssist with daily department setup, preparation, stocking, and closing responsibilitiesSupport inventory awareness by communicating product needs or shortages to department leadershipWork cooperatively with other poultry team members and departments throughout the marketHelp maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for both customers and coworkersQualificationsPrevious customer service, retail, or food service experience is preferred but not requiredFriendly and dependable with a willingness to learnAbility to follow instructions and work well as part of a teamStrong attention to detail and product qualityReliable attendance and a positive approach to workWillingness to learn proper food handling, preparation, and sanitation proceduresPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 30 poundsAbility to stand and remain active for extended periodsAbility to work in refrigerated or cooler environmentsAbility to safely use knives and other food preparation equipment after proper trainingScheduleThursday: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.Saturday: 12:00 p.m. – 8:00 pm or 9 am - 6 pmWhy Stoltzfus Meats?We're a family-owned company that has built its reputation on quality products, friendly service, and treating people well.
