    Description

    The Parveen-Nesson lab in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at LSU Health Shreveport is seeking a motivated, creative postdoc to join our new team studying the role of alveolar cells in tuberculosis pathogenesis. The project involves studying host-pathogen interactions using flow cytometry, single-cell RNA sequencing, and metabolomics in ex vivo and in vivo models of TB. Applicants should have a PhD in microbiology, immunology, or a related field. Experience in microbiology and immunology is desired. Prior experience with animal cell culture, mouse handling, R programming, and/or BSL-3 experience is a strong plus. We value curiosity and a willingness to learn; candidates do not need experience with every technique, and we will provide training. We will also provide you support in applying for extramural and intramural postdoctoral fellowships. Salary will adhere to NIH guidelines.
