Responsibilities

Details of Research Project:

The postdoc will work on several projects examining neurobehavioral plasticity and its association with clinical outcomes in substance use disorders.

Technical Duties: (include any protocols)

The postdoctoral fellow will

  • conduct advanced fMRI data analysis using cutting-edge methodologies and techniques.
  • develop and implement custom scripts and algorithms for neuroimaging data processing and statistical analysis using MATLAB, Python, and R programming languages.
  • collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate neuroimaging findings into broader research projects.
  • stay abreast of the latest advancements in neuroimaging and contribute to the improvement of data analysis pipelines.
  • provide technical expertise and support to research team members working with neuroimaging data.

Qualifications

Educational and other Requirements for the position:

  • PhD in Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong background in neuroimaging, with a focus on fMRI data analysis.
  • Proficient in programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, and R.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Experience Required:

Proven track record of successfully conducting neuroimaging research, with a focus on fMRI data analysis.

  • Experience in developing and implementing custom scripts and algorithms for neuroimaging data analysis.
  • Publication record in peer-reviewed journals showcasing expertise in fMRI data analysis.
  • Familiarity with various neuroimaging software packages and tools.
  • Prior experience collaborating with researchers from diverse disciplines is a plus.

Compensation

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $72500 - $80000 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
