Title Postdoctoral Fellow in Organismic and Evolutionary Biology School Faculty of Arts and Sciences Department/Area Organismic and Evolutionary Biology Position Description

We seek a postdoctoral research associate to work with Professor Mansi Srivastava at Harvard University on a project investigating embryos and adult animals establish patterning after system perturbation. This position will focus on the acoel worm Hofstenia miamia, the laboratory model system studied in the Srivastava Lab. The research will combine lineage tracing, gene expression studies, chromatin profiling to ask how different stages recover from reorganization and injury. The postdoctoral researcher will perform molecular, cellular, and developmental experiments, obtain sequencing data, data analysis, and research dissemination, working closely with the project PI (Dr Srivastava).

The appointment is for one year with a possibility of up to three years based on performance.

Basic Qualifications

Candidates must have a PhD in biology, including in subfields such as developmental biology or molecular/cellular by the time of appointment. The ideal candidate will also have demonstrated experience in studying embryogenesis and regeneration and a strong track record of scientific publications and conference presentations in related disciples.
