    About Early Media

Early Media is a media company building both scripted and unscripted video content for kids, teen and young adult audiences. On the scripted side, we produce vertical drama series with real viral potential and mass appeal, distributed through our own mobile-first streaming app. We strive to preserve the craft and heart of indie production while making content young audiences actually care about. On the unscripted side, we create weekly content that supports Level, our parent learning platform, blending entertainment with real educational value to help students build academic and life skills with confidence and joy.

We're hiring a Post Producer to run the day-to-day post-production management across our scripted and unscripted slates, working directly with the Director of Post. You will manage all of our projects from ingest to delivery, and support the editors and finishing artists.

    What you'll own

    • Scheduling & status: Owning the schedule and status of every active project in post: scripted drama, unscripted series, and pilots.

    • Resource management: Owning resourcing across the entire slate — scripted, unscripted, and pilots — knowing who's working on what, ensuring editors are available when jobs need them, and reallocating capacity when projects run behind or timelines compress. Includes coordinating and managing external vendors.

    • Frontline creative feedback: You are the first person to see the editors' work and you are comfortable giving notes to ensure when the videos get shared to stakeholders they are aligned with the vision for the content.

    • Feedback loop: Owning the loop between post and internal stakeholders: making sure notes arrive on time, are understood and correctly implemented, and that the downstream implications of changes are flagged before they cause problems.

    • Budget: Owning the post budget across the department: actuals, purchase orders, and flagging overages before they happen.

    • Operational foundation: Co-owning the department's operational backbone with the Director of Post: workflow standards, naming conventions, documentation, and the project management system, keeping it accurate as the slate grows.

    Must-haves

    • Proven project management skills: Comfortable keeping many moving parts (schedules, people, vendors, budgets) working together without dropping the ball.

    • Multi-project experience: You've tracked simultaneous projects across different phases of post at once with different timelines and resources.

    • Deep understanding of the post-production process: You're able to spot issues or bottlenecks ahead of time and solve problems before they happen.

    • Hands-on vendor coordination: You've booked sessions, negotiated rates, confirmed deliverables, and held vendors accountable to deadlines.

    • Budget ownership across a portfolio: Experience tracking actuals, flagging cost issues, and reconciling at wrap — and rolling that up into department-level spend, not just a single project's.

    • Process builder: You've built or overhauled workflow standards, documentation, or a PM system for a department — not just operated within someone else's.

    • Strong communicator: You manage people well and know how to get the best out of people across production, editorial, and external vendors.

    Nice to Have

    • Experience producing post across both scripted and unscripted formats

    • Familiarity with social-first content (TikTok, YouTube, IG) as well as traditional broadcast/streaming

    • Experience negotiating with vendors, evaluating and hiring post-production talent, and managing creatives

    • A hands-on post-production background, with the ability to jump in and fill resource gaps when needed
