    Post Processing Technician

    Hartland, WI | On-Site 

    3+ Month Temp Contract | $20 – 22/hr, depending on experience 


    Summary:
    • The Post-Processing Technician is responsible for cleaning, finishing, and inspecting components made from metal, plastic, and fiberglass to meet quality and appearance standards.
    • This role requires strong manual dexterity, experience using hand tools, and a high level of attention to detail to ensure parts are safe, functional, and customer ready.

    Responsibilities:
    Part Cleaning & Finishing -
    • Remove support material, excess build material, and surface imperfections from metal, plastic, and fiberglass parts using hand tools and finishing equipment.
    • Perform sanding, grinding, deburring, filing, polishing, and surface prep to achieve required tolerances and finishes.
    • Clean parts using approved methods to remove powders, resins, or debris generated during the printing process.

    Quality Inspection -
    • Visually inspect and measure parts to verify conformance to drawings, work instructions, and quality standards.
    • Identify surface defects, incomplete features, or damage and take corrective action when possible.
    • Maintain a high standard of workmanship with a strong focus on detail, consistency, and part quality.

    Tool & Work Area Management -
    • Use and maintain hand tools such as files, grinders, sanders, cutters, and measuring instruments.
    • Safely operate finishing tools while following company safety guidelines and PPE requirements.
    • Keep workstations clean, organized, and compliant with 5S and safety standards.
    Requirements:
    • Experience performing manual finishing or post-processing on manufactured parts 
    • Comfortable using hand tools and finishing equipment for metal, plastic, or fiberglass materials
    • Strong attention to detail with a quality-first mindset
    • Ability to follow written instructions, drawings, and quality requirements.
    • Basic knowledge of measuring tools such as calipers, gauges, or templates
    • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
    • High attention to detail and craftsmanship
    • Ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately
    • Strong work ethic and reliability
