Post Anesthesia Care Unit Registered Nurse

PACU RN: EPIC experience, experience recovering the following: ORTHO, ENT, PLASTICS, GENERAL, URO/UROGYN; PIV start skills, critical care experience in PACU setting, Cardiac rhythm interpretation, PO and IV medication administration, Assessing pain and nausea, Discharge teaching, Patient and Family education. Skills required: OR RN: EPIC experience, Comfortability and experience in the following cases: Ortho, Robotics – Davinci, Sports Med, ENT, Plastics, General and Urology.

Shift: 10hr Day Shift - 40

Shift Information: 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m

Clinical Interviewing- Yes - Manager to conduct final interview

• Outpatient Surgery Center
• 32 licensed beds
• Teaching Hospital affiliation

Department Information:

• Average patients/day: 60

Minimum Years of Experience required: 3 years for all positions

Common Specialty/Case Types:

• Orthopedics, Plastics, DaVinci Robotics, ENT, General, Uro-Gyn, Sports Med

Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance:

• OR RN: BLS; CNOR (preferred)
• PACU RN: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Surgical Tech: BLS, CST required

Skills required:

• OR RN: EPIC experience, Comfortability and experience in the following cases: Ortho, Robotics – Davinci, Sports Med, ENT, Plastics, General and Urology
• PACU RN: EPIC experience, experience recovering the following: ORTHO, ENT, PLASTICS, GENERAL, URO/UROGYN; PIV start skills, critical care experience in PACU setting, Cardiac rhythm interpretation, PO and IV medication administration, Assessing pain and nausea, Discharge teaching, Patient and Family education
• Surgical Tech: Sterile technique, multispecialty scrub experience, communication, teamwork
