POS Test Analyst

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting POS modernization initiatives, system transitions, and end-to-end testing activities across retail and payment ecosystems. Client is seeking an experienced POS Test Analyst / QA Professional with strong expertise in Point of Sale (POS) systems, testing, business analysis, and stakeholder engagement.

Role and responsibilities:
Client is seeking an experienced POS Test Analyst / QA Professional with strong expertise in Point of Sale (POS) systems, testing, business analysis, and stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting POS modernization initiatives, system transitions, and end-to-end testing activities across retail and payment ecosystems.
 
Basic Qualifications:

• 4 years of experience working with Point of Sale (POS) systems.
• Strong experience in Manual Testing and System Integration Testing (SIT).
• Proven ability to validate complex user journeys and transaction flows.
• Experience analyzing POS server logs and transaction XML messages.
• Good understanding of SQL for data validation, troubleshooting, and testing activities.
• Familiarity with payment processing systems, payment gateways, and retail transaction workflows.
• Experience supporting POS modernization or legacy-to-new platform migrations.
• Strong business analysis skills with experience in requirements elicitation and documentation.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Experience with POS and Digital channel Go-Live testing, deployment validation, and release management.
• Hands-on experience with JIRA, Zephyr, and Confluence.

 
Required Skills:

• Manual testing of POS applications and related digital platforms.
• Design, execute, and validate end-to-end user flows and business-critical transaction scenarios.
• Analyze and troubleshoot POS transaction issues by reviewing server logs and transaction XMLs.
• Participate in requirements gathering, clarification sessions, and business process analysis.
• Support legacy-to-new system migration and transition programs, ensuring seamless business continuity.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to define test strategies, test cases, and acceptance criteria.
• Coordinate with stakeholders across business, product, and technology teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Support Go-Live activities, including deployment validation, production testing, release readiness, and post-production verification.
• Contribute to release management processes and production support activities.
• Document test results, defects, requirements, and project updates using standard project management and collaboration tools.

 
Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in Retail, Hospitality, or Payment’s domains.
• Knowledge of POS integrations with backend systems, payment processors, and digital channels.
• Ability to work effectively in Agile/Scrum environments.
