Overview
Trustmark Investment Management operates as a fiduciary in the management and advising on client assets and accounts, inclusive of asset allocation, security selection, trading implementation, and other activities as required of a regulated State Bank. The responsibilities of this position is to manage investment portfolios and advise clients in investment and related matters, which may be personal or institutional in nature, while acting in a fiduciary capacity at all times.
This position may be filled as a Level II or III. Additional responsibilities and qualifications apply.
Responsibilities
Investment Management & Research
Develop and implement tailored investment strategies
Monitor accounts for trading and compliance
Participate in the development of new tools and methods for use across the firm
Contribute to the investment research process
Presentations and Communication
Contribute to communications, both written and verbal on behalf of Trustmark.
Meet with clients and prospective clients
Communicate complex market and economic issues
Collaborate with other members of the Wealth Management team (Private Banker, Relationship Mangers, etc.) in solving client needs and complex issues and developing new and existing business activities.
Consult with other staff concerning investment issues
Associates are expected to perform all additional duties as assigned.
Responsibilities for Level III:
Investment Management & Research
Develop and implement tailored investment strategies

Participate in the development of new tools and methods for use across the firm
Contribute to the investment research process
Presentations and Communication
Make presentations on behalf of Trustmark to professional groups, industry associations, or other venues
Contribute to communications, both written and verbal on behalf of Trustmark.
Meet with clients and prospective clients
Communicate complex market and economic issues
Craft investment proposals and recommendations for Institutional client RFPs.
Lead the development of new investment management tools and solutions
Collaborate with other members of the Wealth Management team (Private Banker, Relationship Mangers, etc.) in solving client needs and complex issues and developing new and existing business activities.
Coordinate with other units of Trustmark on delivering investment services to common clients
Manage and/or mentor Securities Analysts to support investment activities
Manage and/or mentor Portfolio Manager I or II level positions
Associates are expected to perform all additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor''s Degree in Business Administration
5 years as a securities analyst, portfolio manager, or similar industry related experience
Advanced knowledge of securities market/products behavior
Advanced knowledge of economics and finance
Advanced understanding of portfolio theory and its application
Advanced knowledge of analytical methods and valuation techniques
Solid understanding of fiduciary, Prudent Investor, and trust standards of care
Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate and present complex analysis
Advanced knowledge and application of Asset Allocation methods and analysis
Organization skills to manage large volume of data
Travel required, including overnight stays.
This position subject to restrictions on personal political contributions and personal securities reporting as required by the Investment Management Code of Ethics.
Familiarity with investment research and trading platforms. (Bloomberg, Factset, fi360, Advent, Moxy, or comparable platforms.)

MBA
CFA or CMT candidate
Professional training
Qualifications required for Level III:
Bachelor''s Degree in Business Administration
SeCFP, CFA, or CMT Charterholder, or
7 years as a securities analyst, portfolio manager, or similar industry related experience
