Portfolio Administrator - Quincy, MA
We are seeking a Portfolio Administrator to join a leading financial services firm in Quincy, MA. This position will support day-to-day operational activities, including nightly pricing, trade processing, researching discrepancies, and responding to internal and external client inquiries. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to build a career in the investment management industry.
This is a 6+ month contract-to-hire position offering $30–$35/hour, depending on experience, based on a 40-hour workweek. The position follows a hybrid work model and is based in their Quincy office.
Responsibilities:
Support nightly pricing and daily investment management operational processes.
Process, review, and confirm investment trades accurately and within established deadlines.
Research and resolve trade errors, processing exceptions, discrepancies, and routine operational issues.
Respond to inquiries from internal teams and external clients regarding transactions and account activity.
Maintain accurate records and ensure transactions and data are processed in accordance with established procedures.
Communicate with internal stakeholders and external clients regarding transaction status, issues, and resolutions.
Escalate complex or non-routine issues to senior team members as appropriate.
Follow established operational controls, procedures, and compliance requirements.
Assist with additional investment operations projects and responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
1–3 years of relevant investment operations or financial services experience preferred.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately in a deadline-driven environment.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to identify discrepancies and follow issues through to resolution.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Interest in investment management, trade operations, and financial markets.
