Job Description:

Title: Portfolio Accounting Analyst

Location: Santa Ana, CA

Pay: $28 - $33 per hour (depending on experience)

Hours: 7 am - 4 pm or 8 am - 5 pm, M-F

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain asset profiles in the trust accounting and reporting system
• Reconcile financial data across multiple databases and reporting platforms
• Manage daily cash receipting, wire transfers, and investment transactions
• Journalize and reconcile daily cash and investment activity
• Coordinate with the Operations Group on bond and loan settlements
• Review and reconcile overdrawn accounts
• Respond promptly to bondholder and client inquiries

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) required in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
• 2+ years of experience in the Mortgage/Accounting/Financial Field
• Strong understanding of financial accounting principles
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
