Position: Porter / Handyman

Schedule: Monday – Friday Part Time

Location: Tyler's Place AZ HQ

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dependable, self-motivated Part-Time Porter / Handyman to maintain our facilities, grounds, and fleet of our company vehicles. This role is responsible for ensuring vehicles are clean, fueled, safe, and ready for use while performing routine maintenance, facility upkeep, and general handyman duties. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, is organized, trustworthy, and mechanically inclined and consistently notices what needs attention without being asked. They work independently, take ownership of their responsibilities, and proactively address maintenance needs to keep our fleet, facilities, and equipment in excellent condition. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to reliability are essential to helping our operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and clean company vehicles to ensure they are safe, fueled, and ready for daily use.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance or repair needs.
  • Coordinate vehicle servicing, repairs, and preventive maintenance as needed.
  • Perform general handyman tasks, including minor repairs and maintenance.
  • Maintain the cleanliness, appearance, and safety of facilities, grounds, and common areas.
  • Monitor equipment and property conditions, proactively identifying and addressing maintenance needs.
  • Assist with moving furniture, supplies, and equipment as needed.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and storage areas in an organized and safe manner.
  • Respond to maintenance requests and support special projects as assigned.
  • Work independently to ensure facilities and fleet operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to obtain a level one fingerprint clearance card.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Experience with general maintenance, handyman, porter, or facilities support work preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle care and routine maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and take initiative.
  • Reliable, dependable, and detail oriented.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to facility and fleet maintenance.
  • Ability to safely operate basic tools and equipment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work both indoors and outdoors.
