We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused individual to join our team in a porter role supporting daily operations at an automotive dealership. This position plays an important part in maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for customers and team members alike. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-minded, and able to work well in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities
- Move and park vehicles safely throughout the dealership lot, service area, and designated locations
- Maintain the appearance of the showroom, lot, and customer-facing areas
- Assist with vehicle transportation between departments, off-site locations, and nearby facilities as needed
- Prepare vehicles for delivery, test drives, and customer pickup
- Check fuel levels, tire pressure, and basic vehicle readiness as directed
- Support service and sales teams with vehicle movement and organization
- Keep work areas, walkways, and parking areas free of debris and hazards
- Follow all dealership policies, safety procedures, and traffic guidelines
- Provide courteous assistance to customers and team members when needed
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to safely operate a variety of vehicles, including automatic and manual transmissions when applicable
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and professional in appearance and conduct
- Basic communication and organizational skills
- Ability to stand, walk, and move vehicles for extended periods
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dealership, valet, automotive, or lot attendant role
- Familiarity with vehicle handling, staging, and lot organization
- Experience providing customer service in a professional environment
