ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Position Summary:Porters are responsible for delivering the OTG guest experience by ensuring OTG occupied areas, including markets and restaurants, look neat and presentable to the public. An OTG Porter helps uphold the image of a facility by performing basic maintenance tasks, including restocking.
Responsibilities:
Accepts and receives incoming products into warehouseVerifies accuracy of incoming merchandise against invoiceOrganizes merchandise and stocks appropriatelyMaintains stock in an organized and clean fashionCleans, sanitizes, and organizes the store room including shelving, floors, lights, and ventsInspects incoming merchandise to ensure quality standards; reporting substandard items to MODFulfills orders per distribution requestsInspects fulfillment orders prior to distribution to ensure qualityDelivers merchandise, as requested, to locations within the terminalMaintains inventory of all warehouse itemsCommunicates run outs and service/quality problems to Supervisor/MODAdheres to sanitation and FIFO (First In, First Out) regulationsMaintain knowledge of airport terminal and restaurantsOther duties, as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Must be at least 18 years of ageAbility to read invoices and count productKnowledge of FIFO (First In, First Out) guidelinesAbility to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis and up to 85 lbs. on occasionAbility to climb ladders to store and retrieve productAbility to pull/push product cartMust be mobile and able to stand for extended periods, to stoop, kneel, and crouchMust be available to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, holidays, and bad weather conditions--must be flexible
