A Day in the Life:
As a Porter Clerk, you play an important role in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming shopping environment for our customers and associates. You will maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including sales floor areas, entrances, restrooms, break rooms, offices, coolers, and backroom spaces. Your responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, sanitizing surfaces, emptying trash, handling cleaning supplies and chemicals safely, and supporting store operations by moving displays and assisting with general housekeeping needs. You will also provide friendly customer service by greeting customers and responding to questions when needed.

- Customer Service Skills: Ability to interact with customers and team members in a courteous and professional manner.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to identify cleaning and maintenance needs and maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials, work on your feet for extended periods, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks.
- Safety Awareness: Ability to follow safety procedures and properly handle cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Organization Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Reliability: Ability to provide regular and predictable attendance and work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
