Description

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor, test, and maintain proper water chemistry (chlorine, pH, alkalinity) across all three resort pools, hot tub and fountains.
  2. Conduct and document regular inspections of pool and hot tub pumps, filters, heaters, chemical feeders, and other related equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  3. Perform routine cleaning, backwashing, skimming, vacuuming, and debris removal to keep pools, hot tub and pool decks clean and presentable.
  4. Track chemical inventory and usage; handle chemicals in accordance with OSHA and safety regulations.
  5. Maintain accurate daily logs of chemical levels, maintenance tasks, and inspections as required by state and local health codes.
  6. Troubleshoot and report mechanical issues promptly; perform or assist with minor equipment repairs and coordinate with vendors as needed.
  7. Ensure all pools and hot tub meets local health and safety codes; prepare for and support periodic inspections by regulatory authorities.
  8. Work collaboratively with the Property Operations team to support general resort maintenance needs as pool/hot tub/fountain responsibilities allow.
  9. Follow and enforce all resort safety protocols related to pool and hot tub use, signage, and guest behavior.
  10. Participate in the on-call rotation as needed, especially during peak seasons or in the event of a pool or hot tub related emergency.

  11. Willing and able to work shift duties that may include evenings, nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification required or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire (company may assist with certification process).
  • Previous experience maintaining pools or aquatic facilities, preferably in a resort, hotel, or community setting.
  • Strong understanding of pool chemistry, water quality management, and pool safety standards.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a maintenance schedule across multiple pool locations.
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, perform manual labor, and work in outdoor conditions including heat and humidity.
  • Strong attention to detail, documentation, and time management skills.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical and plumbing systems related to pool operation is a plus.
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, and participate in an on-call schedule as needed.
