Pool Monitor - Part-time/Seasonal
POSITION SUMMARY: 
Responsiblefor enforcingpool rules, assisting with maintaining a clean facility,andensuring all areas are kept up to safety standards
 
 
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: 
•     Open and close pool according to procedures.
  • Capableofenforcingall pool rulesandregulationsinapoliteandprofessional manner. 
•     Complete inspection of all areas to ensure they are kept up to safety standards throughout the
      day and at the end of the shift. 
  • Assist with the operation of the pool assist chair.
  • Check safety equipment and report missing or damaged items.
•     Usegoodjudgment whendetermininglaneusage.
  • Returnpoollanestotheiroriginal configuration.
•     Cleanup thegeneral pool areabyreturningchairsandequipment back toproper locations throughout the day and at end of each shift
  • Perform “soft cleaning” tasks such as hosing down deck, hosing down locker rooms, wiping down pool tiles, washing and wiping chairs, emptying skimmer baskets, skimming water for debris, vacuuming the pool floor, putting in and taking out the aqua-bot, and taking down and putting up umbrellas.
•     Attendpool monitor meetings.
OPERATINGSKILLS, KNOWLEDGE&ABILITIES:Education/Training: 
MinimumofHigh Schooldiploma.CPR Certification.  Must obtain certificate within one month of start.
 
 
Experience/Knowledge/Abilities:
§    HighSchool diplomaorGED.
§    Experienceand trainingincustomerserviceishighlydesirable.
§    Experienceinanaquaticsettingdesirable.
§    Highlyeffectiveinterpersonal skills,problem solvingabilities,andadvanced communicationskillsaplus.
§    Mustpresent aprofessional image. Mustbeoutgoingandabletoworkwithall typesof
people.Mustbeenergetic.
§    Accountablefor one’sownwork, decisionsandsafetyofoneselfandothers.
  • Must have sufficient ability to administer stated responsibilities.
 
SpecialRequirements: 
•     Capableofworkingextendedhours, toincludeweekends, eveningsandholidaysasnecessary.
•     Mustbeable tospeakEnglishinaclear andunderstandablevoicesothat various types ofcommunicationsmaybeconductedwithpeopleofvariouslevelsofeducationand capabilities.
 
 
Position may involvesitting,standing, stooping,kneeling,pushing,shoving,lifting, carryingandmovingobjectsthat canweighupto45lbs.  Thismovement canoccur throughout theday.  Mustbeable to transport oneselfnot onlyaroundtheoffice, but alsoaroundthe AssociationandDelWebbfacilities.
 
•     Mustbeable to interactwithall typesofindividuals,bementallyalert,detail oriented, andwithgoodreasoningskills.
