DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS
This classification is distinguished from the Lifeguard and Swim Lesson Instructor classifications by the incumbents focusing on the overall management of pool operations, staff supervision, and program coordination. Pool Managers oversee lifeguards, swim instructors, and volunteer participants, ensuring all activities are conducted safely and efficiently. They also handle administrative tasks and customer service needs, whereas Lifeguards and Swim Lesson Instructors focus primarily on direct supervision and instruction. A Pool Manager reports to full-time staff members.
