Andaz Miami Beach Resort & Spa is now recruiting a Pool & Beach Server to join our team. An art-deco building and architectural landmark is home to the newest luxury lifestyle hotel located in the heart of Mid-Beach. The property boasts 287 guestrooms including 64 breathtaking suites and the ONLY Ocean-view arrival experience in Miami Beach. The design features elements of texture, art, and pops of color that create a unique and captivating experience. Each suite is designed with floor-to-ceiling windows, most with deep-soaking tubs, and cozy reading nooks. Guests can also enjoy private outdoor terraces with stunning views of the Atlantic and the Miami skyline. Unmatched amenities include a full-service spa, a well-equipped fitness center, a destination dining experience by José Andrés, two pools, and a Beach Club catering to the who's who of Miami fashion.

Position Summary

Pool & Beach Servers are responsible for providing food and beverage service to guests throughout the resort's pool and beach areas. They ensure guests receive prompt, professional, and personalized service while maintaining Forbes service standards. This role requires a strong focus on guest satisfaction, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced outdoor environment.

Position Responsibilities / Essential Functions

• Serve food and beverages to guests in the pool and beach areas using Forbes service standards.
• Greet and welcome guests in a courteous, friendly, and professional manner.
• Present menus, answer questions, and provide recommendations regarding food and beverage offerings.
• Take guest orders accurately and enter them into the point-of-sale system.
• Deliver food and beverages in a timely manner while ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
• Monitor guests' needs throughout their experience and provide attentive service.
• Replenish beverages and check with guests to ensure satisfaction.
• Process guest payments accurately and in accordance with company procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations, pool decks, beach areas, and dining spaces.
• Ensure compliance with all corporate policies, laws, and requirements pertaining to the service of alcoholic beverages.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including setup, breakdown, stocking, and cleaning.
• Work collaboratively with bartenders, pool and beach attendants, culinary teams, and leadership to ensure seamless service.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Pool & Beach Server Requirements and Qualifications

• High school diploma and/or certificate in relevant training.
• Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage service standards, guest relations, and dining etiquette.
• A minimum of one (1) year of serving experience in a restaurant, hotel, resort, or luxury hospitality environment is preferred.
• Previous pool, beach, or outdoor dining experience is preferred.
• Must have physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight.
• Ability to walk, bend, reach, and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong guest service and interpersonal communication skills.
• A valid food handler certificate and any required alcohol service certification.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and evening shifts.
• Well-groomed, professional appearance.
