What Youll Do
- Perform and support sleep studies for outpatient pediatric through geriatric patients.
- Prepare and fit positive airway pressure (PAP) masks.
- Monitor body position, movements, oxyhemoglobin saturation, respiratory rate, and heart rate.
- Apply and monitor electrodes, bands, thermistors, and other sleep-study probes.
- Provide therapeutic respiratory interventions, including CPAP and BiPAP support.
- Explain testing procedures and answer patient questions throughout the evaluation.
- Troubleshoot monitoring equipment and provide basic patient care, including assistance with ambulation.
What You Need
Required- Louisiana state license.
- BLS certification.
- RPSGT or RRT-SDS certification.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience.
- Previous travel experience.
- Comfort caring for patients from pediatrics through geriatrics.
- Ability to work independently and troubleshoot technology and monitoring equipment.
Preferred- Additional experience in polysomnography or sleep-clinic settings.
About the Assignment
Work at a leading facility in Shreveport, Louisiana, supporting two specialized sleep clinics. Patient populations include outpatient pediatric through geriatric patients with central and obstructive sleep apnea, suspected narcolepsy, sleep-related movement disorders, parasomnias, and other sleep conditions. The assignment includes every-other-weekend rotation, no call, no holidays, and free parking. Staff may work between the Bossier and Pierremont clinic locations.
