Position Overview

The City of Long Prairie is hiring a full-time Police Officer for active patrol, crime prevention, emergency response, law enforcement, and court testimony.

Compensation & Benefits

• Wage: 7-step scale from $31.73 to $39.69/hour (experience determines initial step).
• Raises: Yearly cost-of-living increases.
• Insurance: 100% employer-paid individual health insurance; family coverage is subsidized.

Requirements

• Minimum: Associate's degree (A.A.) in criminal justice.
• Preferred: Bilingual skills and prior law enforcement experience (not mandatory).
