Job Title: Police Officer- Georgia Regional Hospital Atlanta
Workplace: Georgia Regional Hospital Atlanta- Decatur, Ga.
Travel: up to 40% travel may be required based on operational needs, training, court, investigations, and support of other DBJDD facilities
Job Summary:
Under general supervision, serves as the Hospital Resource Officer (HRO) assigned to a DBHDD hospital campus. Provides law enforcement services, criminal investigations, emergency response, and public safety support to ensure the safety and security of patients, staff, visitors, contractors, and state property.The HRO serves as the primary sworn law enforcement officer assigned to the campus and works closely with the Campus Commander, Security Captain, hospital leadership, clinical staff, and external public safety agencies. Responsibilities include responding to criminal incidents, conducting investigations, coordinating patient elopement responses, supporting forensic patient operations, and maintaining a visible law enforcement presence throughout the campus.

Minimum Qualifications
Georgia POST-certified Peace Officer eligible to exercise the powers and duties of a peace officer in the State of Georgia. 3 years of police experience with a PBLE certification or equivalent.
