Patrol assigned districts by foot and vehicle, responding to emergency and non -emergency calls.<\/span>

U.S. citizen, at least <\/span>21 years old<\/b> <\/span>at time of appointment (testing may begin at 18).
<\/p><\/li>High -school diploma or GED; college coursework in criminal justice preferred.
<\/p><\/li>Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.
<\/p><\/li>Ability to establish residency within <\/span>35 miles<\/b> <\/span>of Coatesville within six months of hire.
<\/p><\/li>Free of disqualifying criminal convictions and domestic -violence prohibitions.
<\/p><\/li>Successful completion of written exam, physical -agility test (MPOETC standards), oral board, background investigation, polygraph, medical, psychological, and drug screening.
<\/p><\/li>Act 120 certification <\/span>or<\/b> <\/span>willingness to attend a City -funded police academy.<\/p>
