Police Aide Part-time

The Police Aide will provide security on foot or by bicycle. Provides non-law enforcement assistance to students, faculty, staff, and visitors at Glendale Community College. This position is stationed at the GCC Main campus.

Maricopa Community Colleges is a Plan employer of the Arizona State Retirement System and all employees of MCCCD become members of the System once eligibility requirements are satisfied.

• Employees are required to make contributions to the ASRS Plan if they work for twenty hours or more per week for twenty weeks or more in a fiscal year.
• For Faculty, one load hour is equivalent to two clock hours. Arizona State Retirement contributions will automatically be deducted from your paychecks. The state retirement withholding rate may change each fiscal year. Rates can be found on the ASRS web site.

Essential Functions

Maintains order and security by foot or bike patrol; provides a safe and secure environment for all persons using the college facilities; enforces rules and regulations pertaining to Glendale Community College; unlocks/locks buildings and classrooms; provides first aid; enforces parking regulations; responds to "service calls" (non-emergency); provides a variety of assistance to persons using the college facilities. Position works with a diverse population of administrators, faculty, staff, students, and the public.
