Manages the department's accreditation function under standards prescribed by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA).
Starting pay based on experience. Part time with PTO benefits.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelors degree from four-year college or university with major course work in criminal justice or equivalent combination of education and experience in related field supplemented by two or more years in law enforcement accreditation. Must have demonstrated experience in public speaking and policy development. Educational accomplishments will be considered.
Additional Requirements
Requires a comprehensive background investigation to include a local, state, and federal criminal history check, sex offender registry check, credit check, and polygraph examination.
Applicant must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record-City Criteria.
Must successfully complete IS100 and IS700 National Incident Management (NIMS) training within 90 days of employment. May also be required to complete higher levels of NIMS training as determined appropriate for the position.
