Point of Care Medical Technologist

Job Summary: Performs a wide variety of activities to coordinate the Point of Care programs of the laboratory. Assists in implementation of employee orientation program. Practices as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (MT/CLS/MLS) as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelors degree from a recognized school or university. MT/CLS/MLS (ASCP) registration or equivalent required or must obtain ASCP or equivalent within 6 months of hire. At leasttwo years of medical laboratory experience. Thorough knowledge of laboratory testing procedures and specimen requirements. Considerable skills in performing various laboratory tests. Considerable skills in planning, organizing and teaching.
